We never got S2 here in the states.
So as of right now I am building a stock aby S2. (mods to come later)
I had to drive to toronto, canada to get the motor. Nice 1400+ miles round trip.
Basically between the years of 90-91 only the 7a coupe quattro came to the states.
Audi never did well in the states because of "Unintended accelleration" that aired on a new channel in 87? I think.
Not until the start of the TT era has audi really done well enough in the states in my opinion.
In reply to Martyn:
It's been as low as freezing 36°F
around here+ the wind chill. It felt like 10°F a couple days ago with the wind.
The coupe is located in my father's garage which faces the naragansett bay/atlantic ocean. The wind around here some times blows 50+miles an hour.
Soon enough... I'll hear the motor roar only to take it off the road again to attack the subframe.
Cheers
Josh
