I've been a passive member for a while now, love this forum and the knowledge that is shared here. The car is a 1990 quattro 20V and the engine is standard apart from MTM chip. I'm hungry for more power though...

I also have a 1990 ur quattro 20v which is standard at the moment.I am planing to go down the tried and tested route of rs2 turbo/manifold/injectors/intercooler and remap.I drove one with this set up and was very impressed, what do you think of the mtm chip?

I too have a black 1990 20V quattro, so your in good company here Audun!
Not sure if I want to modify mine particulary, but 280+ h.p. would be nice.
Might just have to get an S2 as well and mod that!

peterr why woudn't you want to up the power of your quattro ? to compete with modern cars like mitsi evo subarus and so on it needs more power to compete .220 bhp in early 90's was good but things have moved on.
i'm sure if audi had the modern gadgets in early 90's they would surely have made quattro even more amazing .

I'm sure PeteRR has the same dilemma as me, owning a "classic" car with potential for big hp! What to do... get another car, hmm

The chip upgrade came with the car, so can't tell you the difference really. I've also considered the RS2 setup, nice and stealthy. Although I'm not sure where to put the intercooler without messing up the engine bay...if it involves cutting & welding with pipes all over the place, I might as well go for more power right away!

Go for more power.......... im currently building my UR with 430 - 450bhp looks totaly standard in every other way, apart from RS2 seats mind you it doesn't look standard with the bonnet open........

Here are some specs

Panther Black with grey leather interior
2,2 20V turbo RR (same as 3B)
5 spd gearbox with Torsen center diff(AVC)
Rear LSD (ALZ)
Bilstein shocks, factory springs

The car is in pretty good shape but needs new front wings! I will soon be fitting those, followed by a full respray. I also have some nice and shiny new lights waiting to go on.
