My 1st Audi Quattro Coupe

My 1st post,so hi all.
My friend has this car in px,so i snapped it up at a very good price,it has the normal brake probs but apart from that its great.
But when i insured it,i told them it was 2.2 quattro and they told me they didnt make a 2.2 quattro,and it must be 2.3,but it says 2.2 on the log book.
Any ideas on this?

Try an online policy such as admiral, tesco or elephant and see what car and spec it comes back with when you enter the reg

Hi they are talking rot! There is a 2.2 KV quattro and a 2.3 quattro NG, the latter having a cat and superceding the earlier KV engine. Think it was late 89 the NG came in but it sold at the same time as the KV for a bit till the stock of KV's sold. 136bhp for both I think.

Yup, 2.2 KV engine was the 10 valve before the 2.3 NG. I had a lovely 2.2 KV, sold it to my m8 4 years ago and it's still going strong.

Yeah its a great car,i have never thought about owning one untill this one came up,im really pleased with it.

Still soooo miss the sound of the 2.3e 10v coupe, every time I started her up I would just listen a wee moment.... Loved that car, sniffle!
