bought my 1st s2 avant

hi all most of you know i was looking for a s2 avant, i finally bought 1 yesterday. I think allot of you know the person steve batt its his stunning pearl white s2 avant, i took a few snaps of it

I'm very pleased that the car is going to a good home - nip sounds very keen, and being an ex-UR quattro owner, is very well clued-up about the whole ownership experience.

I am currently of very mixed feelings. I may have gained space in my garage, but I've got that "I've lost my project" empty kind of feeling.

I'm sure the car will have the full attention it deserves, and will soon be in show condition.

Anyone got any ideas for the next project car ?............no, no, no I must get this out of my head !...it's practical diesel Focus time for me....boo-hoo.

Hi nip like the motor you wern't by chance going to look at one down basingstoke way last weekend were you cause thats the one i ended up buying only the guy who was selling it said he'd had someone else from birmingham ring about it? anyway hope you enjoy the experience i know i can't wait to pick mine up on saturday i've already got a pile of little bits of interior trim and the like to go on to start bringing it back to mint condition

Basingstoke eh? I've never seen another S2 down this way on the road, not the one at the garage on the A33 towards Reading is it?? Bit of a shed when I stopped to check it out...

it is indeed the one from the a33 it does need some cosmetic work doing to it both bumpers need spraying (but i've got the kit to do that myself) and there are a few interior bits that need tidying but all in all it's a solid car i took one of jaguar's engine designers with me who used to own an rs2 to give it a good mechanical going over and they are doing the work he picked up included in the price i.e a new front wheel bearing, 2 new rear tyres, a/c re-gas to it's credit though it drives really well, better than my mates 2.8 a4 quattro and thats done half the mileage and it's got a full service history and loads of reciepts to support any work done, I pick it up on saturday and it's cost me £4995 but they did give me £900 in part exchange for my old toyota mr2 which was worth no more than £500 tbh

thanks guys cant wait to pick it up, i bought my german plates for it yesterday, i havnt seen the 1 in bassingstoke matey. Where about r u phil mate, anyone know where i can get some new s2 badges for the grill and tailgate cheers guys and special thanks to steve

I'm in Rugeley near to Lichfield about 20 miles north! Best check out the bay for S2 badges, I need some as well, got RS2 on mine. If I find any I'll give you a yell.
