    turbo issues... i think?

mornin. Im a newbie to the forum and got my s2 coupe a couple of days. WHAT A CAR!!!!! ooo i love that feeling of skinning any sort of rude boy in their suped up whatever. anyway, this is the first time i have owned (and infact ever been in) a turbo charged car. It feels super quick but you dont feel the turbo kick in. their isnt a sudden moment where your face feels like its gonna go through the back of your head. Is this normal for the s2? is it more of a progressive turbo? Im worried. Its also had an AMD chip (or so the service history says) so I would have thought it would feel even faster with this. I feel that if i really weld my foot the floor i get some incredible speed. Is this what every1 else does? To really feel the turbo, you really have to put your foot right to the floor? If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. I guess the best thing would be for someone to check it out. Does anyone know of a good service garage for s2s in the south, prefferably round southampton and bournemouth? Would it be best to go to an audi specialist?

Anyway, thanks in advance for any response.

hi and welcome to the forum!!

well you should feel a strong pull between 3000 - 7000revs

you could have a boost leak... youll need to do a boost pressure test... or fit a boost guage...

search the forum for more info... there are guys on here with better knowlege too

good luck! ... if you like what you have got ... youll want more hehe

    I do!!

      Hiya

Chris is right you should really feel the car pull from 3000 revs especially as the car is chipped.

You could have a slight boost leak, you really need a pressure test kit to check all the hoses.

You can check all the hoses connected to the turbo to see if you can see any damages or hear any air leaks.
