Took my first A4 into one and the bill for the suggested repairs was worth more than the car c.3K (I got everything done for £400)! I think i kept it somewhere it was truly impressive my personal favourite was £50 to secure the undertray with 4 clips!!

That being said my worst experience was at a Peugoet Garage. Went to pick up some parts on a Saturday had spoken with the guy to say we would be there at 1202 (as they usually close at 1200) would this be OK, yes fine. Got there and the idiot had gone (obviously about half an hour ago). To cut a ling story short...
After that it all kicked off and it stopped just before a fist fight! We did get some revenge on the way out we did walk through the packed forecourt loudly expressing our opinion that it was the most appauling service we had ever received and that we would never buy a car from them even if it was the last car on earth.

Needless to say i will never buy a peugeot.

Audi maybe expensive and some times try and get away with murder by trying to change everything, but at least they have, in my experience, always been polite oh and last time i went into wayside audi in MK they let me dribble over a UR they had in with 0 miles on the clock!

Although I always use specialists for repairs/servicing, I've otherwise had pretty good experiences with my local main dealer so far.

There is one particular parts guy who knows exactly which car I'm talking about when I say 'Audi quattro'. He also makes sure the correct part is ordered/supplied every time. Top man.

I also took the car there once to adjust a pair of new headlights that I'd fitted. It took a while (which I took as a good thing) and they didn't even charge me, top notch!

Apparently they see a few quattro's (and maybe S2's too) in the workshop quite regulary, but I've not yet quite built up the courage of leaving the car with them.

Both Shrewsbury Audi & Bedford Audi have been good when I have been in there. Paul especially at Shrewsbury Audi and is almost as good as parts daddy at finding bits for you.

I haven't had my local dealer work on the car,but so far every time I've gone to them for parts they've been excellent and the guy behind the desk seemed very clued up on the s2.
I was there on Wednesday and was chatting to the sales bloke about the 3 RS4's they had there. He then schmoozed me with the line "these cars wouldn't even exist without yours".

I've just called them to see how much a diagnostics check is. £52 inc VAT which surprised me actually, I was expecting nearer the ton mark.

Had the drivers seat reaplced on the wife megane cabrio under warranty only to find when I picked it up that they had fitted a seat that tipped forward about 3 inches.

Told by the service manager that they all did that! 2 seat frames later they got it right.

Have had a couple of daft and surreal conversations with parts guy at Wearside Audi, really was a little "brain dead" when it came to an S2, though he is/was (not used them for two+ years) very young, so I can sort of forgive him for not knowing the car.

Have a great deal of respect for David and Kim in the parts department of Teeside Audi. Hats off to them, they bend over backwards to help.
Oh, and they know what the car is too.

My cars booked into Audi Cardiff for a simple service job on tuesday (Oil + Filters)... comes out at £152 labour charges! I really begrudge paying it, but with a car like this with a FASH thus far, its almost like I must put it through Audi again!

Will keep you posted on how they treat it/me!

(Oh and the guy took a good few minutes finding the car- how come they all know what an RS2 is? They're even rarer right?!)
