    Entered the S-car fraternity!

Well, I sadly sold the quattro a couple of weeks back for one reason and another.
And it was really painfull watching it drive away for the last time.

But I've now I've gone and bought myself an Audi S-car!. Ok, so it's not an S2 but it is the S2's big brother. The UrS4.
Chuffed to bits with it too. Quite different to the quattro but still a fabulous car and it's in pretty good nick too despite some serious recorded mileage, 200K. But that said it seems in very rude health with full Audi SH and 2bar of oil pressure at hot idle with it's new Silkolene 10W-50.

Its an auto, but that didn't put me off at all as it drives so nicely...and loudly too sporting a full Stromung exhaust! :mischeif:
Just a few little bits and pieces to do, mainly small niggly things like bulbs and trying to cancel the 'Brems Licht' message on the computer (brake lights work fine).

But so far I'm loving it!
I'll hopefull post a pic when I can...

Glad you're still in the fold

That Brems Licht message is at startup right? just press the brake pedal and it should switch of.

Cheers guys!, and yep Corey it certainly does have DTM's

@Jensk: The 'Brems Licht' is actually on all the time. It does have a third brake light in the boot spoiler, the wiring for which has been tapped in from the O/S brake light wiring. I thought that may be the reason, but the prev owner said the message was coming up before that was fitted. Checked/cleaned the bulbs, holders and earths so far but its still there...

                Ta Greg!,
Nothing that urgent really. Just front discs and pads in the near future, the usual bulb replacement in the gear selector and ambient temp displays, as well as the above. Oh and the rev counter face could do with replacing at some stage (I'll check what wattage bulbs are fitted in there!).

May get a set of new tyres soon and probably get the Avus's refurbed while I'm at it.
The car is currently wearing Avon ZZ3's, might go for these again or the Dunlop SP9000 unless there are any particular recommendations?......

Welcome to the urS4 club That makes at least two of us in the North West!

Think I've seen the car you've purchased advertised on Autotrader as the spec seems familiar. Is it silver with black leather by any chance?

Does your car have the UFO discs (not sure whether the later S4s have these)? I have a late '93 car and it does, and they're not cheap to replace .. perhaps worth considering a Porsche caliper based upgrade?

Hi Andrew, The S4 is indeed silver with black leather!
It doesn't have UFO's though, it must be one of the first to have the later set up.
At least the're a bit cheaper to replace!, I might just go to Eurocarparts for a pair of ATE discs and pads...
