poor running

hi all its me again, hope someone can help. My cars running a bit poor it keeps holding back while boosting nothing major u can feel it hesitating under foot, ive fitted a boost gauge it boosts at 19 in 3rd, doug at mrc changed dv (doug u need to keep my car u know its scared of u lol) everytime i take it to doug it runs perfect as soon as it gets to birmingham it plays up lol

Just the usual, are you using decent fuel (especially if it's been remapped on super), boost leaks, clean connections, maf etc - I always found a bit of hesitation or poor running could often be solved by cleaning + re-tightening all the hose clips etc.

I will also keep an eye on this thread I have similar problems. 1st and second gear ok. It starts when I get on the motorway doing about 70 and put my foot down it is holding back badly. It was completely cutting out last week when it was first started and trying to set off, also idle was up and down. I have cleaned MAF last week and that cured these two problems. Thing is is was running perfect for the first couple of months I had it and the day I got it serviced it started holding back on the motorway. I took it back to the place 30 minutes later after trying it out and the guy shrugged his shoulders and said not sure

just do a search for maf cleaning then you will want a "vonbeck maf baf"
