Hi Guys and Dolls
The Red Baron (R)S2 and I took part in the King of the Moutain event held in the Cape in South Africa, see www.kotm.co.za and www.raceweb.co.za
Thnx to Martyn from VAG Parts who supplied me most of the RS2 parts and Mihnea who supplied the ECU and manifold , Paul for the Beautiful Samcos and Gandalf who personally carried the whiteline ARB back home from me.
I have driven the car on race tracks since the upgrade but this race is what enspired me to go the RS2 route with pleanty of midrange punch, with 180Kw on the wheels and almost 500Nm the car is awesome on the hills.
The car performed beautifully. Its a huge difference from the original S2 and I managed to beat all the Scoobie STI road cars even with their mods. The crowd loved seeing the Red Baron haul up the mountain. I even got the fastest speed out the last corner for the day. Bit too brave as I was side ways and trapped at 159km/h (100mph) comming out the bend with montain face to the left and sheer drop to the right.
Nothing Like Quattro... I tell yeh...
