Cant remember to be honest mate. but I would expect it did. As revs/engine load rise so does oil pressure. What are your startup and "on a run" oil pressure readings?

As regards newsh point about the IC hose. Its a very good one.
to remove the bumper, there should be two hex bolts/allen head bolts under each inner wing at the front.(mine were a real PITA to get out but yours should be nearly new and ok) Turn to full lock to remove them.

Undo those. The remove Indicators, Fog Lights, There are two bolts each side behind the fog lights (13mm socket with a long extension should do it) > Unclip it from the undertray and disconnect headlamp washer hose if it will come off. Otherwise leave it connected

Much easier if you have an assistant to help lift it off and also to hold square while refitting but it can be done alone no problem.
    hope I didnt forget anything!

My running pressure readings are pretty good I think, on start up in the cold they are up at 5 bar, once completely warm it is sitting at between 1.5 - 2 bar. When under acceleration it will rise to about 4.5 - 5 bar.

Ok thanks for the heads up on the bumper, I will give it a try when I find an assistant to give me a hand.

If you are brave enough, have a go at the bumper on your own. If you chock it up and undo it all, its a brease.

And to put it back on just do the same, i once tried to get the grilfriend to help but she just got in the way

Rob - having read your post about having had the IC off, I suspect the IC MarkH connections might not have been re-seated correctly by your mechanic giving you a big *** leak from there - as Newsh says above, it took us quite a lot of jacking up to get it to align and seat properly in order to create a decent seal.

Newsh and I had that bumper off and back on again only recently of course, but I would suggest you do it with somebody else, at least the first time, so you know first hand how to do it.

Thanks for everybodies advice, it really is appreciated.

Now Dan, I will sound like an idiot, but how can you tell if the Mark H mod is infact properly seated? Well I be physically able to see it/feel it or will I need to run the car?

Pressure test is the only way to be sure...

                My advise (FWIW) -

Pressurise system from compressor output hose whilst the the hose on output side of intercooler is bunged good and proper. This should be absolutely airtight... Only a leaky IC, hose/clip or TBV will allow air to escape.

This test doesn't check the PCV system or the TB hose of course, but those can be carefully examined and tested separately... A leak test from the MAF hose with the PCV outlet bunged should verify that everything else is tight - as long as you don't mind dumping some air into the crankcase... this method is never airtight so can be tricky to pinpoint a slow leak.

Thats a good suggestion, thank you.

I have had an offer from Doug to take the car over to MRC and this could save me abit of time (which I seem to lack at the moment) and hassle.

Well definatly keep you all posted on this one.

                    Well, only 3 years late!

Reading T2Andy's post reminded me that I should really post up the Rolling Road Results from the middle of 2009.

The car has an MTM chip, RS2 Airbox and a SS exhaust with no cats. It made 267bhp and 320 ftlbs of torque.

The rolling road was Surrey Rolling Road which is run by a good friend of mine. His rolling road is notorious for upsetting people as his figures always come up lower than other rolling roads but it's very accurate (and expensive!) equipment.

Can you can give me the full spec of your car? It look like it's similar to mine, power is similar 261 v 267, but you have shed loads more torque than me

torque? torque? stop worrying about the piddly 2.2 and drop that blinking diesel block in the car then talk to me about torque!

                              Yeah no problem.

MTM 265 Chipset, Samco Boost Hoses, S3 Diverter Valve, recently replaced WGFV, RS2 MAF, RS2 Airbox, RS2/3B airguides (complete ballache to source and fit!), Mark H intercooler mod and a turbo back 2.5" stainless steel exhaust.

Before I had the RS2 Airbox and guides fitted, the car did seem to lack abit of power and torque but since fitting them it pulls very hard indeed. Infact, the chap who carried out some wiring work on my car is very familiar with fast exotic cars and he himself owns an immaculate 964 (911) that's had some pretty extensive engine work and he seemed pretty impressed with my car.

Over the years I have thought about upgrading to RS2 spec but I just can't justify the costs compared to the performance increase as the only car that has every truely left me for dead on the country roads is my friends Nissan GTR. Ok, I know the S2 isn't the fastest car in the world but it still has enough power to make me smile on every journey so instead of chucking £6k at it and possibly ruining the experience, I think I'd rather scratch the V8 itch and get myself a TVR at some point in the future.

But anyway, back on topic! Unfortunately I didn't bring the RR sheets into the office today but I'll dig them out tonight and post them up in the morning.

How can that spec have 70\lb\ft\ more than Andys chipped S2 ,and 10 less than mine Im not disrespecting that figure but some RR seemed to differ i think.
