mines an early ABY delivered to the first customer may 1993. on the mot website it stated

'Test according to which is older, engine or vehicle.
e.g. A 1995 car fitted with a 1991 engine (of whatever make), test to 1991 standards for emission purposes.

to prove engine age.'

could my engine code therefore pass as a 1992 engine based on VIN.

, therefore enjoying same benifits as 3b owners

BTW last numbers on my VIN are 005579.

my rs2 go through mot with no cats too, and no I did not give any backhanders...........

I am pre-emissions........yahoo!! First thing i got was de-cat pipes. Any ideas how much more power with de-cat pipes on a standard car??
