I read somewhere the oe coils are supposed to be changed every 80.000.
I changed all five on my UR, the change from just changing these was unbelieveable!
          Super smooth, lots quicker.
I would say the boot only option is false econ, Before my new coils arrived I wrapped the old boots with insulating tape to see if thats what was causing my high rpm missfire. worked a treat, stopped the miss. Coils changed and better again!
I paid about £60 a coil inc vat.
when you have had one go down and then had the fuse blow its not nice, glad mine happened locally, PITA along way from home!

This is the place I used:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Beru-Ignit...QQcmdZViewItem
, I rang them and quoted our part number, they said how much do I usually pay? so I said £65 in vat. If you can beat it then I'll do business!

                    Here are the numbers:

My local ECP said £70 +the dreaded.

They come with the wires don't they?, just not connectors. So a bit of soldering is in order.

Me and soldering irons are NOT a good combination!
The 1.8T conversion looks abit more appealing to be honest...

I know its probably been covered a million times, but is there any major pros/cons with going to 1.8T spec?

EDIT: Just read Jamos posts on page 2, must of missed them first time round!
New S2 coils will have to be then, will have to pay for someone to fit them though as I wont even attempt them with my soldering skills

That eBay link is long since dead... Can anyone remember the suppliers name ?

Suppose ECP is worth a rattle - I have a local one - assume the Beru number starts 0040 - right ?
