My new Audi URS4 Avant and my Polo G40

    Hi guys,

Recently bought myself the URS4 to use as my daily driver whilst I continue to play with the polo. The audi was in a bit of a state when I bought it, but having spent a good couple of days with various interior and exterior cleaning products I've managed to get it back to a pretty good state

Anyway, here are some pictures I took (The sun had set by the time I had finished to take the photos )

Please don't ask about the VW centre caps, I have enough people ask me all the time! New Audi ones are on the way as we speak. Some simple plans to start with are Xenons, Aero blades, CD player. I've got A new S4 badge and an S3 Re-circ to be fitted along with an oil and spark plug change!

My other toy is my Polo, which I've now had for just over 2 years. It's somewhat modified, managed to run a 14.6 at santa pod earlier this year, which isn't too bad for 1272cc!

Let me know what you think
    Cheers
    Henry

Nice looking cars, the polo is getting rare now so its good to see a good condition one with the owner not afraid to use it.

Any more plans for the audi? i.e. homefries, 996 brakes?

Yeah, the Polo is lots of fun, I've been playing with different types of induction recently on the car!

I've PM'd Paul about the Homefries maps, am looking forward to playing with a little more boost! The brakes do need sorting, I was going to give them a general service with new pads, discs and fluid change. What sort of cost would I be looking at for the 996 setup?

The two holes on the Polo rocker cover is a tunnel that runs straight through the cover. In standard form you have a boost pipe running from the throttle body to the second inlet on the charger, the engine breather is also fitted to this boost pipe. It's there to supply lubrication to the charger mainly, but the air from the throttle body is generally going to be hotter than the air from the air filter so isn't ideal to be feeding back through the charger again! Oil breather can just be fitted to a catch tank, and the charger is then lubricated with PTFE spray.

            Cheers

Hey Alan! Wasn't sure if you'd be hanging around here. I remember you buying the s2, how is it running these days?

Fuel consumption is not good, considering this is supposed to be my daily! Will soon learn how to get the best economy out of it! I know what you mean about the G-laders, you just can't beat the low down power delivery! (except when it's wet )

Cheers Knight Rider, really happy I've found the forum
