Hap McG. = Captain Hap McGuire. Ex-United Airlines Captain in the US. Bought his 93 S4 brand new and immediately started modifying it. He has been on the leading edge of modifications in North America, i.e. he has been pushing "the envelope" of high horsepower development in North America. (and probably spent a shipload of $$$). It hasn't always worked out as planned and there have been some costly problems along the way. Hence the "paper cut" analogy (when you push the envelope you need to watch out for the paper cuts).

His 2.6L stroker engine with custom header and honky big custom turbo is just about ready. Below is a link to a recent AudiWorld post Hap made, complete with a photo of his old engine (he like da bling as well as the sting )
