Insane 'Pikes Peak' Golf

The Guy I was talking to today at AET (Grant) seemed to know a lot about the 5Cyl Audi engine.

Turns out he has a Mk1 Golf fitted with a 600hp 3b Engine!!!!!

He termed it as a 'pikes peak' spec. Radiators in the boot, the whole lot, water and nitrous I think. Hybrid turbo etc etc. Seems he has put it together with Dyalinx.

He also said it was attracting some press, anyone seen it?

I guess that must be it. There can't be many (if any) others around.
I love the one were he gives the TT a massive head start and then catches up!!

I know someone that put the 20v lump in a MK1 too, put all the 4wd system in and everything!

Drove perfectly! Had to cut stuff away and strengthen stuff up to do it tho as obviously it was all a very tight squeeze.

Was running 300 and something bhp.

That was until he was out "playing" in it and tried taking a bend a bit quick.... Car was destroyed and killed him also.

The guy that done the conversion offered to do it for me as i'm an avid MK1 fan, but declined as wanted the comfort as well as the pace.

Was an awesome car tho!!!
