Got to say a BIG THANKS to ADD for helping me out and doing most of the work on sunday.

Well then,i thought that the car was running fine but it started agiain................on full boost i'm getting like a missfire and it only does it when i hit 20-21psi????? It's been doing it for roughly 4 weeks maybe a little longer? I thought it was a major boost leak which i had.Thought it had gone, then booooo i'm back
On sat i was driving home and decided to over take an Astra, i was hitting full boost in 2nd gear went for the 3rd hit the loud pedal and boosted then BANG and no boost at all???????????? Parked the car up when i got home after checking under the bonnet to see if i'd blown a hose off or some thing. There was some very strange rattling going on.OH S H I T!!!!!!!! I stripped the hoses off and had a look at the turbo to fine the cold side looking a little sorry for it's self

So i rung Adam up for a little advice and got the answer i thought i would get. So Sunday came and Adam come round and the job was started 10.30am. Not really planning on doing it then but as good as ever.I bought a RS2 down pipe last week(cheers AndyP) so now was a good a time as ever to change that as well. I bought Add'a old turbo so all systems go. I would have never be able to do it with out him,he knows his way round these as you may know by looking at his thred. Cheers again Add. The down pipe was the worst bit with having to take the shaft off and steering arm off for it to fit Here's a pic of the turbo we found there to be a bit of play in the shaft on the hot side. What you think? Ready for a rebuild?????

The down pipe was a git. Ended cuting the old one in half wish i hadn't though. The hole job was finished by 5pm and running. The down pipe took the most time if anything.

I also got my full rear bush kit ready and waiting for the arms to come back from the powder coaters

An eventfull weekend to say the least but all good now But for how long?????????? Got a few tests to do tomorrow and we'll see what happens.
Just some finishing touches to do now

Make sure you give the intake pipework and intercooler a good clean before you fire it up again, all those metal filings from that turbo have to go somewhere, you need to make sure it's not straight into the engine.

              Happy to help mate
I recall we gave the inlet pipes a wipe out,but will be worth popping them off again for a good clean and degrease,as there was a fair amount of oil in them,as andy says the mulched housing has to go somewhere
              Hope it's all ok
              It's a love/hate relationship with the S2,i love it,it hates me

Well so far so good, just given it so right beans and it can slide with this bloody rain. Hasn't done the missfire type affect as of yet. So finger's crossed it's all alright now?????
