I may get some stick for this but which is the better car, the UrS4 or the S2?
Can both be tuned just as well?
I've been told the UrS4 handles better, true?
The UrS4 seems to be cheaper to an equivelant S2, why?
Sorry to hi-jack the thread slightly

Havnt owned an s2 yet so cant comment! the coupe above is a v6, so not worth tuning really, by the time you have increased the power to a decent level you may aswell buy an s2/s4/s6 and go much further!

Don't forget the urS6 which is the car in the pics!

Not sure there's a difinitive answer to which is the better car and there's bound to be bias on here. The AAN engine is almost identical to the ABY S2s so can be tuned just as well. S2s are much more sought after probably because they are much more recognizable as a performance car, particularly the coupe but also with the avant as it's only one step down from the legendary RS2. This is probably why the price for an S2 is always higher. The S4/S6s are are even more of a street sleeper than the S2s and are probably just too big for most people and I think scare people off, but they are usually much higher spec and do look a bit more upmarket on the inside IMO!

As for handling I'm not sure. I've heard people say that the bigger cars handle better and they definately handle well, but surely an S2 would be more nimble on the twisty stuff. However I would definately say that the urSs hold the road better at speed! And that was confirmed by Doug when sat in the back of mine a couple of years back!! :mischeif:

I think I've answered that question pretty impartially but I'll sit back and wait for all hell to break loose!!

                      i love this car!
Ive had it a little over a week now its taken a bit of getting used to as ive driven coupes for the last 3 years, in comparrison it does fell bigger/heavier, it does role a bit if you take sharp corners aggressively but hey, im sat on nappa leather everything is perfectly appointed infinatly adjustable, more dials than the star ship enterprise, the coupe feels cheep in comparison.
I would say handling wise the coupe was better on bendy country lanes, but the s6 feels a lot more stable on the open road even at 100+ miles an hour.

Nice motor, you dont see many avant versions

S4 is the more refined car, seems to handle the same roads/speed with less drama. Its the easier car to drive quickly without thinking about it if that makes sense?

On the limit driving the S2 has the advantage with less weight, but i find the big S4 much more predictable. Size is a factor, get the S4 sideways on a roundabout and you take up both lanes!

Its swings and roundabouts really, i think you could have more fun in an S2, but everday i would rather be in the S4.

Get your suspension sorted and it'll be a completely different story! With bilsteins and eibachs my S4 hardly roles at all. And with 255 tyres it doesn't understeer much either, although it does tramline like a *******.
