    chuffed!!!!

Did an 02 impreza today on the way to pick up the kids from school, then had to come back and do the brakes!!!! I like my car very much, and I wish i could festoon it with enough goodies to embarrass the japs without having to outdrive them too!
My car has been anointed my MRC apparently in the past, but now I need to look at getting the engine so it dont smoke on startup...any ideas?
    All the best,
    bern

more than likely to be your valve stem seals, can be done without having to take the head off if you have got access to a couple of special tools.

like a compressor and an adaptor from a leak down test kit (or modified spark plug, bit of pipe and some quality brazing skills) - ah those were the days.....

                cheers sal

Nice one, i'll get him onto it this week, the incar heater has just taken to needing a twenty minute run before heating up, and when I turn the fan on there is a small smell of exhaust fumes for a moment in the car.

I've done 10000 miles in it since I got it and it has been generally great, but now I feel I should take a little care of it again.

I've got goose doing my range rover at the mo, so I'll wait until he's finished before pestering him with this one. Fair Play,
                Bernie
