V6 erratic starting behaviour!

Hello!!!

My 2.6 is a funny old ******!

It doesnt start perfectly.It cranks over five or so times then fires.It only occasionally starts on the button,which is now making me want to rectify this.

I have a few ideas.Ignition amp?Crank Sensor?(Cam sensor new).

Not sure what else

Air leak so its taking longer to crank up?
Is it possible to use something like vagcom on this?

Should be as the it is a 94 plate

Would give the coils a good clean with WD40 .. i had a 2.8 Q and the coils were earthing and would be a PITA to start sometimes before i clean them
