    insurance

    Hi All

This week i had my insurance quotation drop on the mat,and yet again i had the annual price stitch upops:
So i started ringing around and finally managed to reduce my quote by £120 notes, the only difference this year was my previous insurer couldnt match the quote,or any bar one that i was quoted
Anyway im pretty happy with £530 all mods noted, and protected no claims.
Not sure if i will still be smiling after i have added the bigger turbo, fries & possibly brakes .................

Guys, like most people in here, I would most defo suggest going to elephant.co.uk.

Cheapest quotes by far. And add your missus/girlfriend on and get an extra £50 off.

I think someone on here mentioned that the reason why they offer such cheap insurance on the S2 is because they have it a couple of groups down on the insurance ladder.

Yes that's right. Elephant & Bell Direct are both part of Admiral & the S2 is group 16 with all three. It's group 18 with everybody else.
        Now RS2'less

Try Hoddesdon Insurance Consultants (HIC) - they're an "Audi Specialist" and they seem to be extremely competitive - especially if you're modded.

I went to BELL 1st then ELEPHANT then ADMIRAL,i think they are all part of the same group, they use the same online software, albeit with a different hue.
You can be a little helpful/creative with your previous best quote, seems to help, limited mileage will help if you can,as will a decent voluntary excess, even though i think its a kin diabolical liberty

Getting quotes online are better than phone as you can change your occupation. I am a mechanic but have listed my job as a manual worker and instantly I get a quote nearly 100 quid cheaper!! If you are a barrister they practically give you the insurance with a box of choccies and a bottle of champers!!!
I was not lying when I said my job was manual labour because IT IS!!

Not suggesting any one lies as I am sure if it came to a claim they may not look favourably if you listed as barrister and they caught you in your overallls!! :eek2:
Just think it's a travesty that because you are a mechanic they can charge you more! When I would say in honesty a mechanic (from reading other threads may excluding Tom from the way he drives!!!! WOT ALL THE WAY!!!) would drive safer because he knows the limits of his/her car because of the knowledge attained in his/her profession.
              Anyway, sorry, rant over! lol

A6 Avant Tdi 110 because as the fuel prices keep going up I am so happy to be getting 649.8 miles to a tank of diesel!! (£50)

THat means you've got more money to spend on Mods now doesn't it
