28 years apart! The Audi 80 "Avant!!"

OK, potentially probably the least powered Audi 80 estate (and probably the earliest for that matter) against the most powerful production one ever and what a difference 28 years can make!

The '68 was manufactured in late 1967 and the RS2 was manufactured in 1995!

The '68 Audi 80 variant was one of 5 RHD models imported into the Uk back in '68.
Apart from this one, the only other known RHD 80 variant is in New Zealand!!

Nice to see what is basically the same model looks like some 28 years later!!

The '68 Variant will be going in for a full resto in April as well!

So tempting but I'm gonna have to keep her stock I'm afraid.

If it had a VW badge on the front then she would have had her compulsary scene ticket issued, but only down to the fact that it's a piece of Audi heritage that needs preserving that means the voices in my had that are saying "slam her" have left for the evening!

          For the moment at least!!

unearthed in the darkest depths of Lincolnshire by Jon Smith (off Fifth Gear).

                    nah! T25 Multivan for BVF!!!

Fingers crossed, it should be ready for Audi Driver International in October. Don't want to rush things on this one. People with ur Quattro's think they've got problems getting parts, well they've got it easy in comparison!
Can't imagine a pair of front wings being the easiest part to locate!

Don't think the VERY stale 15 year old petrol is helping much!
It came of the road in 1993!

Good work. Is the rest of the car as rotten as that front wing?
