luckily not!! Apart from the o/s rear arch, that's about it. The doors are solid, the gutters are mint, not even a blister, there's not rot around the bonnet or bootlid and it's solid underneath as well!

Saw Ralf on E38 the other day and thought he would be heading your way

Looks really solid, would be a shame not to stick him in the weeds though, cookie cutters

@Coxy - I genuinely wish you all the luck you can get restoring that car - it has masses of personality - when I saw the 1st pics of it here (before you bought it I think maybe) I just instantly knew that car has the potential to be a real stunner... Either as a factory finish restoration project or something a bit different/slammed/customised.

I really don't normally go in for that slammed/custom look, but that car would pull it off. However, with it being so rare I think its instrinsically better if you take the factory finish route - that way should get you some support from Audi UK and Audi AG in the hunt for parts - or old drawings that will allow you to get NLA items copied/reman'd somewhere.

Massive undertaking there and I really look forward to seeing the finished item in the flesh one day. Its got far more character than any of the current generation of Avants coming out of Audi these days. I just love it !

Coxy, I think you should be appointed as the new officer for Audi UK heritage.
You are more proactive than Audi UK thats for sure. Your efforts/insanity are commendable and should be recognised if not sponsored by Audi.

Have you ever approached for help in this area?

Actually, Nuvo makes a damn fine point here... Coxy needs assistance with his addiction to buying all these old Audis. At this rate, his warehouse is gonna be more interesting than anything Audi UK could muster

I kinda figured a while ago that Audi don't give a monkeys stuff about their heritage in the UK. It's hard to get them to realise that they were actually a company before 1995 nowadays as it is.
Think I might book the 70L in for a service at Wolves Audi and see what they say.
I can already imagine that will all start telling me that there never was an Audi 70!!
Like to see them drive a column change Audi into the service bay as well!
                            Column change is not natural!!!
