Oh and meant to ask, how does the boot lock work when you change the panel? Can the key/lock mechanism be utilised from the 90? Sorry it is a bit off topic but i have an 80 that i fitted 90 lights to!

ive just checked dests previos posts and it seems the lock is in the same place but the handle needs some modification,we'll have to see

Yeah, the lock on the 90 pushes in to open the boot. Im not sure if that can be utilised...

Your right! buy them back!

The lock mechanism is exactly the same on the full panel as the original avant lights.
The only bit you have to change is the barrel so your key still works with it.
The handle has to be cut back, which is easy, then just adjusting the catch release mechanism by moving the black plastic sleeves which fit over the rods from the handle to the catches (easy to do, but can be annoying getting it just right!)
