Hi, today i had a inspection of my RS2, which i need to complete my import....

It runs good, but not perfectly...

the inspector found some deficiencies (4) (2 technical things: i have to remove the hitch... and change the wearhinge (sorry i haven´t found the right translation)) and i have to fix it until Tuesday next week...

I´m a bit scared, because the RS2 is a seldom car and they haven´t got some data and i haven´t found these data so can anybody help me with?

I need:

-axle load allowance
and
- tire dimension allowance

Perfect would be a photocopy from a original AUDI datasheet or something...

well as far as the tyre dimention you may found it is a bit weird.They have 245 tyre on the rs2 on 7inch width and you can only use the dunlop tyres that audi originally fitted,which i dont know if they make them anymore.The previous owner of my rs2 had fitted a different make of 245 tyre and it got really damaged because of the 7inch wheel width,and after a letter he made to the tyre company,they explained that you cannot use 245tyre on 7inch wheels.That is why everyone is using 225 tyre instead.But how can you explain that to the inspectors????

hello, i think there wouldn´t be a problem, because now i´m driving my winterrims with 205/55/16 which is exacly the original type... so i will go to the inspection with them

happily i found one who send me a original copy from a germany type sheet... tomorrow i will contact the inspectors if a copy of the german type sheet will be enough

new funny news: i have called the inspectors, and they told me that it could be possible with the german data sheet but it also couldn´t they can´t exacly say if it will work... but i should try it *great* *ironic*

so i have called the generalimporteur which is porsche salzburg and they have told me that they haven´t got any details from a foreign car ^^ also very funny because the facts are general... it doesn´t matter if the car is from GB, Austria, Germany or any other country... now i´m getting a bit angry because everybody is fooling around...

news update:

finally the RS2 is now driving with austrian licence number... finally


on sunday i was driving a 1/8 mile speed-race with out happy finish grml...
i was driving 2 runs... first was a 9.00 and the secound 9.29 (129 km/h) I´m not happy with this result... i think something isn´t working right... i think i must be faster... anybody has an idea what i should check? could it be the S2 tail pipe?

also i "killed" the clutch at the first run i think... it was smelling quite "funny" a loooong time...

hi,

my white TDI is now sold
and i found the problem, the BOV was damaged, so i was driving with about 0.9bar overboost , changed the ventil and now i´m driving 1.9bar overboost falling to 1,2-1,3bar, now it rounds pretty good..

new funny news about my rims

thought i´m losing air on my left frontwheel... so i checked it, because i thought my tire is damaged... i was wrong with my thought my rim has a fissure!!!!! without any "enemycontact"
