I'm talking about the superthin pads that are stuck to floorpan. I think you are talking about the thick felt/fabric blocks that are placed all round the car to reduce vibrations and road noise. I could believe over 10kg for all that.

No, only talking about the superthin black pads that are stuck to the floor pans, under the back seat and in the trunk(?). I gathered it all in a bag and put it on the weight. Heavy stuff.

its certainly heavy, count on 10-15kg inside the car, only for the black "asphalt" mats that we call them. but that is at least wheight on the "good" spot

headlining and sun roofs are bad, i hate my sunroof, they are sure heavy!!

I origially had a sunroof and hair conditioning. The AC got ditched as it was beyond repair. Could always rivet a pannel over the sunroof

Hmm... what are the locations of these thick blocks of which you speak?
                          Can't recall seeing them.

Took the 'weiss for a drive earlier with no back seats in and she sounds lovely when the WG opens. Looking forward to getting all the tar out and running her as a clubsport version. Going to look into options with teh carpets and rear seats for quick release stuff for track use but still subtle and useable for every day duties. Recaro Speeds are great too but then I knew that

There is so much rubbish in the interior, loads of random foam and sound deadening attached to every little pannel guess that's why these cars are so quiet and refined, still, a little more noise in th cabin is what I want so it's all going in a cupboard (houses weigh loads anyway so have a poor power to weight ratio!).

Took a mate out for a drive and he agreed that it sounded better with more noise, then again he did used to have a very loud Sierra Cosworth so I guess he's biased! Car goes really well stripped, had forgotten that it's like a stock car only a noticeable bit faster everywhere. Clutch didn't like me showing off a launch tho lack of use I guess.
