    S2 in Oz

Here is my new S2 which I've had about a month now.

I didn't know much about these cars 6 months ago but started doing a bit of research after seeing another one on the market here in Australia - I'm in Perth Western Australia.

There's very few of these in Australia (less than 20 I'm led to believe) but my example came up for sale in Melbourne in May - June and after getting it checked out by a mechanic I ended up buying it sight unseen and shipping over to Perth. Other than mine I haven't seen another one in the flesh.

About the car - its a 1995 Ragusa Green Coupe, Totally stock, 62 000 km on the clock (38000 miles) , bone leather interior, steel sunroof and AC.

Love the car, very smooth, refined and quiet, drives (almost) like a new. Fastest car I've owned by a long shot too.

    Minor issues -
Few scuffs and touched up scratches on the paint - should all buff out though.
Noisy front end - will be replacing struts, top mounts and bushes in the within a couple of months - really looking forward to getting the suspension sorted so the whole car feels like new.
Head room is a bit tight (I did expect it might be) I'm 6' 2" and my hair touches the lining if its spikey in the morning. Might have a go at the mods describes in the seat lowering thread here.
Also the Autocheck (assuming all S2's came with them) has been replaced with a minicheck (by an Audi dealer) and fuel consumption display makes no sense (should be L/100km but showns higher figures when off trottle - not MPG either as average sits around 7). Will start another thread re. this sometime when I get around to looking at it.

Thanks for all the help so far, I'll be hanging round the forum for a while..
