Nip, you could go for a hybrid turbo from TD or AET that sits between S2 and RS2 and then you'd just need a remap and injectors to get mid 300s with your exhaust. Should cost about the same as a secondhand RS2 unit and a lot less than a recon/serviced RS2.

Best thing with the fannymold is to get the Wagner one as most RS2 secondhand RS2 ones are cracked from what I've seen, cost you twice as much but it's supposed to be better.
