Bought my first S2! Actually it’s my first Audi!
Been a fan for many years but could never afford them.
However after hours and hours of research and reading thousands of threads on this forum, I thought I may as well have a gamble with this one………….

Drove home perfect, in fact it’s been two months now and all is well. It’s used daily and the turbo / smoke issue described has noticeably reduced over that time - perhaps a cloud of smoke once a week now for 2min then clears. Looking through the service history it turns out though that the turbo, clutch and all brakes were replaced with new items at around 120k!!
Looking under the bonnet, there are currently dodgy hoses in the PCV system and smoke was leaking badly from here resulting in fumes in the cabin. Hopefully this is linked to the smoke coming out the exhaust so in an attempt to cure the problem I have bought a new PCV Valve (£15) and all necessary rubber hoses (£45). Fitting them on Sunday - so hopefully that will sort it, if not perhaps valve seals?
No plans to modify at present, just getting it back to mint condition and trying to keep it that way, perhaps a brake upgrade next year?
Finally, I read a thread on the forum somewhere about embroidered logos on mats, etc. Can I suggest ebay! Fired off an email to a patch embroidery company on ebay with the S2 Logo and asked what they could do. A week or so later received 1 “proof” and then later-on 5 “final” patches.
So I’m going to put them on each flootmat, one on the drivers seat cover and have 1 spare.
All for £22.00 – will get a photo and link up here asap.
