I didn't think so either but apparently ETKA lists two different part numbers for the WG. The RS2 WG is apparently 034 145 705 E whereas the UrS4/S6 and S2 WG is 034 145 705 B (also goes back to the 1988 200 turbo and the early 80's quattro/Sport). Since the WG diaphram, 035 145 797 B, is common to all these WGs, the only difference that I can image between and 705 B and 705 E is the WG spring which was not (officially) available as a separate part. But that is just a WAG.

Personally, I think the K26 is the wrong turbo for the car. Too much lag for a daily driver, if that is what you do with it.

Are you aware of the AudiWorld UrS4/S6 forum:

        http://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/

        And the UrS4/S6 FAQ:

On the other hand, you might be happier also posting on MotorGeek, they love big turbos and NOS:

where did you pick up the rods from???
what do you think about the k26??I read its a direct replacement for the k24...sound right??
I may just jump the k26 step and go Gt-series.(gt2871)

A straight K26 sucks bigtime. They are so much more laggy than the K24 with little gain. The RS2 K24/K26 hybrid is the best option or one of the 034 hybrids

                RS2 turbo is a k24 7200.
what kind of power are you aiming at?
                sounds like a 600+ project...
Don't think there is space for an GT35r on the RS2 EM though,
but it sounds like a nice project
                hope you keep us posted
                cheers
