Hi,
Im down in norfolk as ive been staying at a friends for christmas, and am due to be travelling back up to the lake district tomorrow - in the s2.
I was travelling back from norwich via some back roads earlier, only to feel the wrath of the bilsteins as i hit a conceled crater in the world which some may call a pot hole.
In addition to shattering my spine, a red exclamation mark inside a circle appeared on the computer display, followed by 3 beeps. I immediatley pulled over and turned off the ignition, checking everything that was visible. There was no sign of any damage so i turned the ignition back on and the exclamation mark came up again with the 3 beeps.
At this point i checked all the fluid levels and dials - all OK. I drove 30 metres down the road to a pub car park and did a brake test, then checked under the car and around all the wheels - all seemed OK.
So i figured id drive back 10 miles to my mates house and have another look tomorrow. All the while driving back the light was flashing and every now and then there were 3 beeps.
When i was parking up i stalled, turned back on the engine - and hey presto.... "OK" displayed as per normal!
Now im not sure whether im going to go outside tomorrow before my 300 mile journey home and find the car doesnt work, or whether its "fixed itself". I know the s2 can be pretty tempremental, and im assuming the warning is brake related.
Any ideas?
Cheers, Andy
