Went out for a spin today and thought I noticed it about a week ago, when you put your foot down on hard acceleration you get a puff of black smoke out of the back.
Any ideas what could be causing it?
I recently fitted my aquamist kit so wondering if its running too rich now?
thanks for the comments guys, i'll give it a try with aquamist turned off and see if it still does it, but it may be as aelred suggest that engine is being decoked.
Its certainly going alot better with it fitted though.
I´ll bump this thread instead of posting a new one. When i put my foot down it puffs out a little bit of black smoke (a little from what i can see in the mirror anyway), the same when standing on idle and blipping the thottle. Every "blip" it puffs a little. No running issues at all, just theese black puffs. No blue or white smike what so ever. Any ideas? Lambda maybe?

Sounds normal, however if its heavy black smoke when on boost it would probably be an air leak post MAF, i.e. the ecu fuels it for the air it has measured but some air leaks leaving it rich, hence black smoke.
My thought also, but why? I put a 3" 200cells PERRIN race cat on the car the other day, then went to a mates workshop and checked the emissions but they where all perfect incl lambda so i ruled that one out.
