Wheel Alignment - Praise to TTS Roadsport in Bedford

Been and had the wheel alignment done on my coupe this afternoon after having changed the subframe bushes at the end of last year before I moved house.

Very impressed with TTS over in Bedford, close to me and I havent been there before and its a very good outfit over there. Got talking to the boss over there too about what they can do for us S2 owners and they are quite keen to carry out more work on the S2's, especially wheel alignments.

got talking to them about my exhaust which needs modifying too and they are getting back to me with a price, and with them being local it is even better for me.

The drive back from there was great, the coupe has never handled so well There was one downside though, the drivers side camber is at its full adjustment so i might have a bent wishbone, so im gonna replace that and get it rechecked and aligned which should hopefully solve the issue.

as you can see the alignment was quite a bit off before!

Also ive had a talk to them about sorting some discounts us for us too, and they offered to arrange a day for us to go up there enmass and get alignments etc done with refreshments and that provided so we can see what they have to offer.

I bet im only one of many who have never managed to get and/or keep their s2 properly aligned - sounds like a fantastic idea.

Been meaning to get the S4 checked for about the last 2.5 years ... may be driving past Bedford in a couple of weeks! Sounds like it could be worth booking in.

Nice printout Greg - interesting to see how much was adjusted at the rear especially... And also great to have some numbers which create a good handling feel. Mine is woeful ATM...

Just to say I've used TTS Roadsport and can thoroughly recommend them - not only are they exceptionally good at their job, but nice blokes as well.

Yeah was very pleased with them, went out and had a chat to one of the mechanics working on my car and gave it a bit of a check over at the same time. Waiting to get a price for doing the exhaust mods now.

Camber on the front will be the strut mate. There's quite a lot of play in the strut to hub bolts, get that adjusted first and make sure they're done up tight

There are loads of roadworks around the estate at the min and will be for about a year due to a new bypass being built so give yourselves plenty of time to get there from the M1!

Just looking at that printout again... Seems like the 'feel' has been almost entirely improved by toe adjustment - front & rear.

You've essentially even +ve toe at the front and the rear - which was alleged to be good by someone else in another thread so thats consistent.

That front right camber is odd... If its maxed out at that setting then he could have made the left camber more negative to balance out... or he could have reduced front right camber to -1 to match the left side.

Did they do this with anyone sitting in the car - or ballast even ?

How much £££ and how much time - I assume all your adjusters are nicely movable. I need to change my rear TREs before I go anywhere an alignment place.
