I am mighty proud of her at the minute.
I've a couple of things to tidy up this year, namely a few car parking dings down the passenger side being the main annoyance.
Wouldn't you think working at a place whose sole purpose is motor vehicle related, others would be a little more careful. Bloody idiots

I have been in doubt of my job position (in Consumer Electronics) for 4 weeks now after somebody (work council?) leaked to the press that 1/3 (22 people) of our department would be fired within a few weeks. Finally yesterday I got comfirmed I can stay working and even got promoted. Somebodies dead is another man's bread........ We have a very good social plan, but it's always better to have a job in these times.

I hope all of you are being spared for these situations where I was in. Luckily I never doubted my S2 should be sold to overcome difficult financial times, since I will not do this with all the money I pumped in to it. My Avant is my big baby, and new projects have been planned now I know I can continue spending money

I didn't have any real plans for the bank holiday weekend so my good lady and I took a trip up to see a mate in Chester. Picked him up and headed off into north Wales. Yes it was miserably wet all day but the scenery was still spectacular and the S2 proved to be the perfect car.

I took my S2 and the TDi to Stanford Hall VAG show yesterday along with my bro in his S2.

Both of mine and my bro's kingfisher blue S2, not very often we can get a shot of all three in a nice location.



The keen eyed amongst you will spot what looks like an S2 badge on the TDi, it's most certainly not.
It's an S badge with the second bar containing the number, cut off, just now saying "S".
I think it at least deserves that

I mentioned in the start of the project thread the mingin state of the interior.
The S2 avant front heated seats in there now replaced the original "things" it had.
Did I mention the strange stiff ginger hairs woven into the fabric that I found when first mucking it out?
Guy's wife had ginger hair, but it didn't look particularly wiry

Two years later, I'm still positive

S2 has been in winter hibernation for 10 months. Back on the road today ready for summer.
Failed her MOT, booooo. Side repeater bulb and rear number plate light bulb.
Was a danger to the road being in that condition I could have gone to prison

Nice one Jas, I am about a day behind you, I am hoping mine will be finished tomorrow and back on the road after its front subrame, engine and gb mounts, front brakes, RS2 Recaro install and spring service...

Yours is looking mighty fine there and really suits those S8's...
