    RS2 Suspension Overhaul

Having finally tracked down the knock on the front of the RS2 to a faulty N/S/F shocker, I decided to replace all four corners and took Rob's (GT500) advise, opting for the Bilstein Sports as replacements.

However, instead of just replacing the shockers and inspired by Saltinot's RS2 America thread, I decided to refurbish the units at the same time. I used the Rustoleum Satin Black paint, and Combi-Color paint for the springs (Standard RS2 items)

At last, I have got them finished and ready for re-installation (with a little help from Rob). The end result certainly justifies the time and effort!!

    Thanks for the help Rob!

Just a few more jobs to do and I might actually get to drive it!!!!

I can't afford any interior re-design fella, I'm spending too much on the damn car!!

Hiding the spending from the wife is the biggest problem. :mischeif:

Should do, they were bead blasted first to remove any corrosion. 2 coats of Rustoleum rust inhibiting primer and 3 coats of Satin black. Fronts were "filled" with oil before inserting the Bilsteins and rears were sprayed inside with waxoyl before re-assembly.

That should see them last the life of the rest of the car!
