New S2 Avant - should i break it or keep it??

Yesterday I picked up a 93/94 S2 avant, in dark blue

Bodyworks a bit tatty, engine and drivetrain are very good

whats should I do... retore it, or steal the bits i want for my emerald green avant and strip her??!

Full carbon trim/leather
2 sets of 17" wheels
3 sets of fog lights
both bumpers very good, no damage
both wings excellent
new RS2 suspension

the list goes on.....

Ah right, so you bought it then! How much did you pay in the end? Several of us were interested, it's the same colour as mine and I was very tempted to make two reasonable ones into a perfect one.

You should keep it. Or sell it to someone who wants to

Avants are stupidly cheap at the minute... PLEASE keep it / restore it... Amidst all this heritage talk of keeping old Audis alive its bad to be suggesting stripping one cos its a bit tatty... Different matter of course if its been heavily crashed, burnt or something impossible to come back from.

Im in the process of finishing off my mk2 VR6, should be done by the end of the week, then ill start the avant, im in se london/or kent tn9 if your interested in stuff you can pm me, and of course ill put up a for sale thread with prices as per forum rules...

Why did you bother asking for our opinion then if its fate is already sealed? Do the right thing as Shark 90 says and sell it to someone who would be willing to restore it.

As much as im sure alot of ppl on here would love the parts that would become available from this car being broken, it is a real shame its happening. Can you not sell the car on as a whole car at a wee profit for yourself??

Oh **** no - the car is worth more in raw parts than as a complete working entity - its tradgic... He must have some expensive curtains to buy - sorry I shouldn't take the piss but it winds me right up....

That is true, i bought my avant as it was cheap and i knew it was worth more in parts. The guy i bought it from was determined to sell it to somebody who would look after it, he had other offers from people who wanted to part it and wouldn't sell it to them

No I understood you OK... All he had to do was tidy it up - a decent valet and polish works wonders unless the paint is completely gone - and could easily have made a tidy profit - especially as it came with two sets of wheels etc. Sigh,....
