    S2 avant, budget style!

Heres my audi s2 avant. Had her about 6 weeks now and loving it.
Picked it up cheapish, needs a few bits of tlc to the bodywork, namely some weird thing going on with the bonnet. Seems to run ok, bit of an epic miler though at 187k!

Since having it ive fitted 4 CF1's, had the cambelt done, rolling roaded her as standard and then fitted my latest purchase, a homefries fettled ecu. Oh, and swapped the euro plates for english ones as i got fined lol!

    So yeah, here goes:

    and in its natural habitat:

RR, as standard without service and on 187k:

next up is to do a full service, then look at the suspension and brakes, got a couple of knocks and rattles i need to sort out, plus the discs are shot and it doesnt stop or corner as well as my corrado, so that needs changing!!

The bad news is that im a final year automotive engineering student at uni, so have NO MONEY!!!

Oh, did i mention Nurgurgring is booked for 1st-6th july

Hope you like it, comments and criticisms always loved.

      You will love it!!
I am about to get my 2nd S2 Avant next week, as I regretted selling mine

Regarding suspension, I can highly recommend H&R springs, they make it sit perfectly

        that looks perfect!

take it those are 17's though, seem to fill the arches a bit better than mine?

And too right im loving it, especially with the chip in now. im learning to love the 2nd gear foot down, wait a split second, boost up then weeeeee.
Definitely a different driving style required to my g'charged vw when your pushing it, but so much more docile and driveable around town.

Dude know how u feel. Got my avant in February and love it to death! Needs the spring kit done tho. Coilys to get it down n dirty! I didnt have the fortune of driving my car without the remap as it came with it. Also has RS2 antiroll bars but im not sure how much difference they make to standard but may be worth a go for handling on urs too.

                welcome mate

you can get these to stop but i seriously doubt it will handle as good as the corrado. unless it s a VR6.

when i got out of my G60 into the audi i thought it was broken. the shell was so wobbly compared with the lovely rigid chassis of the C.

brakes wise i had wilwood 4 pots with 310mm discs on the corrado but the 6 pot gt2 and 993tt discs are as good as if not better.

in essence not as good a drivers car but potentially quicker than the C and also cheaper for bits.

                      cheers

it doesnt seem to be boosting right on full throttle, its totally lost the kick it used to give. I think its potentially boost related?
I put a post in the technical section with the full details. Its not a calamity, but it is annoying!

For anyone whose interested, latest update is:

                            Roose Boost hoses
                            New Oil / fuel filters
                            FD5POR plugs
and a new clutch master cylinder as the shaft on the old one broke. When i got it out it turns out the wrong master cylinder, or at least the wrong pushrod, was fitted before, as the pushrod was alot smaller, about m6, than the new one m8ish. This was confirmed by the dodgy helicoil insert in the U-bracket on the pedal that was quickly disposed of with a screwdriver and a vice! All plumbed in and bled now, and working nicely.

and i went for a drive to the beach:
