I will try and keep this thread a bit more update as and when i do stuff on / with the car.
Money issue is still there, although i just passed my engineering degree (whoop!) and started working full time. Not on great money, but hopefully get the overdraft paid off and get involved with some h&r's, arb's and maybe some new boots and stickier rubber.

Another small update, put it in for MOT.

Failed on a track rod end, CV boot and horrifically bad emissions.

Ive fitted a new track rod end, cv boot and a new lambda probe, which has tightened up the steering and made the car pull a bit smoother imo.
Restest tommorow, so everything is crossed and lots of wood is being touched!

Im sure this wont be to everyones taste, but hey-ho.

So, my missus ditched me on monday night, which, tbh, seriously sucks big time.
So in order to kind of take my mind off things ive either been out in the ess-too (which is running a **** load better with a new lambda), or locking myself in the garage doing little projects. oh, i also fitted surround sound to my bedroom lol.

Last nights little project involved an after work trip to halfords for some primer, satin black paint and some wet n dry paper.

Then, take one stonechipped gloss grille, and one scratched to bits highly illegal 'show plate':




Sand back to bare metal and prep with grey primer:



Drink 4 bottles of miller genuine draft.

Then break out the satin paint:




The grille looks alot better than before, cant really see it in the pics, but before it was scratched, chipped, and had nasty chrome poking through. Now it looks nice and stealth.

the plate is show use only, obviously

front end is starting to look a little mean now, considering doing my ellipsoids tommorow, but might wait till my H&R's have arrived from johnnybravo's breaker.

Regarding suspension, I can highly recommend H&R springs, they make it sit perfectly

so, being the degree qualified automotive engineer that i am, i immediately put them on the testing machine:





please note, balancing yourself on two or four s2 springs is properly difficult.

Dunno when im going to stick them on, think im going to look at poly bushing the wishbones / solid mounting the subframes so i'll probably do it all at once. hopefully along with some fat ARBS. All depends what comes up for sale and how cheap i can blag it.

In other news, the cats are rattling like a tap dancers honeymoon, so theyre coming off next weekend to get gutted.
