Looks in nice condition inside and out....2 things i noticed, 1) What exhaust system has it got as the tailpipe is single and it looks like chromed version of an audi 1.8 - sure its not but does it have any indication of the manufacturer? 2) looks like you'll need to get the handbrake (which are pretty cr*p on these cars) adjusted as the black cowl under the handle is proud of the centre console, IIRC it should be 3 clicks. Should be some info on here about how to adjust it or maybe a quick trip to a garage

Wish mine had the carbon trim, it always looks awesome.......go enjoy and put the credit card in the freezer for the mo, cos u can be sure it'll heat up soon enough - maybe with a mod or two

The exhaust (I believe) is a stainless steel Powerflow. And yes the handbrake catches you just in the armpit when you park . She's booked in for a service next week at a specialist(recommended by an S2 owner) to get rid of a few niggles and find more I'm sure.......

I still remeber the first days of owning the S2 about half a year ago. I was considering sleeping in the car at night....A great feeling, and now its yours. Lucky guy, this colour is one of the best for this coupe.

Just a quickie, I was applying TLC to my new edition when I noticed this. Is this right or is something missing?? Look at the engine bay photo and its the bottom left corner near the air box. Looks like it's missing a tube/pipe!!

Thats the top of the wastegate. It doesn't have a pipe attached on S2's.

It's one of the first things you notice as an S2 owner and everyone wonders if there should be a pipe attached. I asked the question when I got mine and I'm sure there are plenty of others who did the same when they first got theirs as well.(whether they admit it or not)

It's when you've been on this forum a while you'll need to worry. As has been said before the temptation to start modifying is too much to resist for most of us and then it's a slippery slope.

If your still wondering what its for, its a tap that can be used to check the condition of the wastegate diaphargm by using a vacuum tool such as a mitivac and seeing if it holds the pressure.

Thanks guys . I'll have to get to a meet at some point so I can be introduced to the S2 properly. I've got so many questions and don't really want to keep posting every five mins. Don't want to get off on the wrong foot on this forum as it's been so much help already.

Its also a way of applying presure to the top of the dia. to make it boost harder. As is used on things like an MC engined Audi 100 etc. A bit of useless info, but hey. Welcome aboard, like everyone else has said up the CC limits and increase your overdraft. Modifing the car is too big a temptation. I think in 5 years time, it will be impossible to find a bog std car out there!!!
