  • First Post (help)

Hi this is my frst post on your site though i've visited a few times for tech info, usualy very good and helpful, my S2 is a '94 ABY no major mods just put black diamond discs and pads on front seem ok so far but still bedding in will let you know more when i do also K&N panel filter to go on when they give me the right one!!!
I was wondering if anyone new of a decent garage to get work done on as Audi are too bloody expensive and not all that good - diagnosed my misfire prob as new coils, it wasn't, so with a bit of internet reserch turned out to be Lamda which they should have known as it turns out to be a common prob!!! and they left the jubilee clip loose for the turbo inlet after doing the MAF!!!
I live in the north east so somewhere near Newcastle would be nice .
    Cheers.

      Welcome to the board!

There is an independent VW/Audi specialist near Middlesbrough station I think called 'volkswerks'. You could look them up and give em a ring, unless someone else knows different about them (Graham?)

I know nothing else about them aside from the fact that, if it's not raining, you can see hookers stood on the street corner there from about 9pm on.

      'The Bacofoil Express'...

      No more.

Leon TDI 150 run in now.

      Very slow.

      Needs a chip.

What time do they stand there when it's raining?

They don't come out, generally. The rain would make their purple smeared on leg blotch run due to their mini skirts being so short.

Back on the original topic. There's a specialist in Sheffield who knows his stuff, but he's not the fastest of workers, and has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. If you're happy to travel that far (it would be a bit of a trek for you, too, at 2 1/2 hours or so) I can give you details, but surely there's someone up/aroudn there that can help out. Is it for servicing or fixing? You have any probs right now?

Yep Volkswerks are a good garage, i have never had any problems with them, they are a good bunch of lads, for parts they are reasonable but Volks Range at Thornaby (01642 670306 and the lad, Jason (owner) is sound as a pound, just mention Graham with the Blue S2 and he will know who you mean) is a lot cheaper and he gets OEM parts sometimes faster than the Stealers, or for parts you could always use VAGparts on here. Just look for Martyn for that one.

I live in newcastle, and only VW specialists that I have found so far are in borro, although, I have heard mention of one towards the quay side around the tyne-tees building area, but haven't managed to find it yet..
