Another issue that may effect the timing is if you are running non standard size alloys - they would have to have the nearest correct circumfurance tyres...!!

Tyres make no difference to GPS or accelerometers Using the speedo is pointless as on stock tyres it's out by about 6mph. Redline in 2nd is 72 indicated but 66 on the GPS.

Barber did say earlier in this thread that he was using his GF to measure the time and he was using the speedo as a guide!!!!

So MY POINT IS VALID... IMO

....When I first got mine (stock standard) I timed a couple of 0-100km/hr runs (1st & 2nd gear only) and got something like a 5.95 and 5.8something. Although this was just done with a passenger with a stop watch watching the speedo so not all that accurate. .....

I've since done a run with Dynolicous on my iphone and got 0-100km/h in 6.43sec. with a fairly unbrutal launch.

As mentioned by others, the biggest innacuracy with looking at the speedo is how innaccurate the speedo is at 100km/h!

I tried out an iphone application called SpeedBox (free version) which uses GPS in the phone to calculate speed - It's meant to be reasonably accurate at speeds above about 40km/h with a good gps signal - 100km/h on GPS = about 109km/h on the speedo

Have also tested speeds against a GPS phone - and got same results - speedo reads 10% higher than reality...

so I'll aim for seventy eh? I might have a go tonight, I've been going easy on the S2 lately cos I feel sorry for killing it so I never tried a 0-70/60 again hahaha
