    AUDI 80 16v 94

Hi all as you will know im new to the site, and have a few quieries about a car ive had for some time now!! Its a 94 (L) AUDI 80 16v met.burg.... I bought the car 7 years ago and had some great times in it, absolute great drive especially on the motorway!! After a year or 2 it started to cut out and did this whenever it felt like it!! I had a suspision it was the cat on its way out, however had this checked and was told it wasnt that...So i persevered with it and eventually it died on me and had no power in it, idling and only doin like 15mph.... So as you do i put it into a garage and this is where the fun started!!! Got fuel lines done, didnt cure it! bought petentiometer 80 quid not that! new airflow unit, not that!!.. Gave up garage and took it to specialist. new fuel pump, not that, Lambass sensor, not that, recond air flow meter not that!! As you could imagine i could go on and on.... Eventually i put it into a local audi dealer....They phoned me after some time and said it needed ht leads, plugs and just a service really, though they wanted like over a grand so yi can guess what i said!!lol....When i went to get the car, Audi had ran it out of petrol! ran it out of water, causing the radiator to burst, 2 flat tyres, and drained the battery...left me to deal with it!!

Eventually i got it home and it has been in my drive for like 5+ years now!!!! I was wondering any suggestions on what to do with it?? Scrap it or is it rare enough of a model to save?? I would really appreciate any feedback on this whole dilemna ive had as i need to make a decision like pronto people are gettin sick of the site of it..... thanks ESCE....

This is not a standard version of the 16v it has all the extras like the competition version (2500 made), centre dials, alloys, spoiler, fogs, bucket seats, all quatrro runnin gear, all electrics, leather steering wheel,etc...and bavarian /uk stamped plates, how rare is the model just now, thats really what i would like to know as ive only seen one other in all the years ive had this one!!!

Hi skull it aint the quattro it just has all the running gear apart from the four wheel drive.. I put a clutch init b4 i had to put it off the road and it had to be the quattro clutch so thats how i feel as though it aint just a standard audi 80, hense why im lookin for some info on how rare the vehicle is as i have to do something with it soon, hopefully not scrap it!!! thanks for getten back to me, look forward to any info you can shed on this model...Thanks..

if it were a quattro, than i would say keep it, but if it is not, then it is just an audi 80. the engine is not one of the most user friendly...

          give us some pics

Thanks for getten back skull n Andy, ima take some pics over the next day or 2 and show you it, its not in the greatest condition as its been lying for 5 years!! Though if anyone like any other old car was to spend a bit of time an money on it then it would be fine obviously... I just know i aint seen many 16v 80's and wanted to know just how many there was b4 i either scrap it, strip it or if i sell ma 535 i'll throw some cash at it, as it was alot of fun when i was running it and dearly loved the car until it started to play up... Hopefully someone can let me know if it is a rare model as i dont want to waste it!!!!......

try cleaning your breather pipes see if that makes any difference .also unplug the connector on the side of the metering head and try starting it see if it starts ,you might have to keep the accelerator pedal pressed down a bit.
