Nice ..It is a S2 model ?...looks mint ..only ever seen them in red for some reason

yes its a 1991/2 944 S2, it Maritime blue its the last of the 944s its the runout model that ran parrallel to the 944 S3 (know as the 968)

it seems to be a very rare colour, ive never seen one in this colour before, picked it up in Devon late last week as a replacement to the S2 Avant im stripping

Lovely car I had one - but not in that colour. Handling is in a different league to the Avant but you'll miss the low down turbo grunt - oh and build quality is better but factory parts will make Audi look cheap

nah, dont want to upset that perfect weight distribution, am thinking fibreglass front and rear wings, doors, bonnet and bumpers, lexan side windows and rear hatch, and the 968 rear seat deletion kit, oh and the lexan 924 GTS/R front lights to replace the crappy pop up ones!

Is the engine alloy ? if not I bet there isn't much difference in the two.

Local painter I done my work experience with had one YEARS ago and I guess it was the first properly fast car (at the time) I had been out in, typically by the time he got me home he had cooked the head gasket so that gave us something to do for my last week of work experience !

Cool car though as I remember it.

yep is all alloy, its a totally different engine to the other 944s 104mm bore and 88mm stroke, 3.0 16v

Wonder how an Audi S2 v's Porker 944 S2 would match out on a bendy/twisty road in the wet!!!

Or Dry for that matter!

Wouldn't stand a chance in the wet that much I am sure of.

In the dry the S2 I don't think would be anywhere near it simply as the 944 is well balanced and the S2 has most of its weight in front of the wheels.

Is the 944 a turbo then or not ?

I know which I'd rather be seen in though and its not the Porka !
