Finally got my new purchase home after a bit of a journey,
Leicester to Dunfermline by car transporter a few weeks ago then picked up from Fife yesterday and run up to Aberdeen.
Not been underneath properly yet but the body looks in good condition.
There is a problem with the central locking and the boot lid wiring needing attention.
Only front electric window and a manual sunroof? would have thought the quattro model would have had a better spec but I can sort that oot eh.
Thinking it has good project potential

I thought it was a 2.6 but got the reg doc through today and its a 2.8 v6, want to get the problems sorted first.
There is a few cheap s2 avants knocking around at the moment that im finding rather tempting

These 80V6Q saloons are coming out of the woodwork now for sure

The rear loom is an easy one - look at the left side of boot where the wiring is - it frays internally up towards the C pillar with all the years of bending for open / close operations.

Mine has broken central locking too... not investigated properly but thinking its bad earth - car used to have an aftermarket alarm which by looks of things was installed by messrs Beavis & Butthead - pretty sure that is a candidate for badness too.

Spot on! mines been refurbed already with gaffer tape and speaker wire

Has aftermarket alarm also with some really dodgy wiring and scotchlocks its all coming oot just didint want to touch it until i got home.

Mmmm - yeah they cheap until you have to fix them - like most old Audis I suppose.

Awesome my dad had a 2.8 V6 Q black K reg saloon with that rear wing too a few years ago, then Istoo+ bought it, such a smooth car to drive compaired with an S2. On another note any luck with the S2's lumpy injector?

Not been near the s2 since I last seen you but will maybe get a look at it in the next couple of days.
Did you get a chance to look at your boost issue I still need to check that out too.

No not had a chance to look at it either, been in the Desert for a bit now, but thats due to change landed myself a 4'n'2 in Norway!

MOT is due on the 17th, i hope i pass emissions. I think i'm gonna have to put my CATs back on for a pass!

My wee sis bought a flat on Rosebank terrace i'll give you a bell if i'm around.

Not my old car (your dads before that)
it was J833BRS, was my first audi. sold with 189k on the clock. loved it.
central locking pump is in the boot, is the pump making noises, lifting the buttons. look for the air leaks.. i went through this with my 90 took a solid day of farting about to fix it.

Love those old speedline alloys, Thought my spoiler was fitted after because it looks a bit rough.
Did yours have a electric ariel? thought the saloons had them built into the rear heated window? sure my mates 90 was like that.

your old 3b is still going strong over here. when you get things sorted. would you be going the rs2 convert route? or just keep it standard
