Ahhh, memories of chasing Landrover V8s and Tomcats around a field in my 90Q, such fun, and large amounts of mud/turf all over it after.

G60 + Eaton M62 is the way forward. G60 like power delivery but none of the inherent grenadiness (yes I made that word up. Actually I'm quite proud of it). Doable for pennies as well, as they were standard fit to a lot of Mercs.

Or splash out on a rotrex for the ultimate G60 (obviously with the notable exception of the limited 16v G60 engine).

Regarding the talk of G60 conversion, it'll be sometime before I can make this a reality as I've banned myself from starting projects in till I finish whatever I'm currently working on. Though I feel it's quite acceptable to purchase further vehicles in readiness, especially when they are fully road worthy and operational.

          So.

I've just got my NG engined FWD coupe back on the road with all new bearings, bushes, tyres ect. Smashing car had if for nearly 10 years now, I really should sell it but can't bring myself to let it go for the pittance it would fetch.

My S2 is awaiting final reassembly, exhaust centre section fabrication and remap, I have all the parts waiting so it won't be too much longer till it hits the road. I was supposed to spend this week just gone on the case as the garage where I work has been shut. However I ended up there anyway helping the owner clear a back log of poxy little jobs.

Then I've got my T85 90Q restoration/ 10VT conversion to start, this is going to take me a year realistically.

Once that's done I'll turn my attention to this old bus, in the mean time I'll use it as it is.

Look good mate, though I'd imagine it's B3 based so won't have the more advanced rear suspension of the the B4 Avants/Saloons.

Did you raise the suspension in order to compete with such vehicles? If so how did you go about it? It's one option I'm considering.
