My carpet and underlay (to my knowledge) is as it left the factory, with the CD autochanger cables running under the carpet trim strip...

Silly question, have you had the carpet get very wet? Say heater matrix failure or leak etc.

Ours got a soaking when the Matrix failed... Just wondering if it's shrunk?

Mines got the spare mounted cd cruncher, sorry changer, and I assume the cables take the same route. All is good in the carpet fitting department (at present) but I'll now be driving around looking for the slightest sign of movement.

Hmmmm... Interesting... The plot thickens... Maybe there should be a poll to identify the size of the problem?
