    Gti Inters,,2010

Well What a weekend for it amazing and as we all know the gamble paid of becasue the football was a load of balls..

Anyway good to meet a few of you all again.... Hello Again....

Well what can i say GTI is good but it really does seem to be missing some of the good stuff from the good old days.. a bit like a forum i know of..

It was impressive though to see the 0-60 of the mental old vw scirocco 2 odd seconds amazing sadly it died a death on one of its runs..

o well sadly i didnt get to take many photos this year to be honest it was that hot i just could not be bothered...

but my mate took a few of me going down the drag strip.. seen below.

Did any coupes go down the strip... or was it the old slippers only this year...if so this might be two nill to the Avants...

amazing to think the old s2 manages to get so far in one second.. lol.. and to think its been doing it for 8 years they really are built solid..

i really liked your car, tried to speak to you a few times but you put your window up lol!

wasnt impressed with my A4, did the clutch on the first run, 5.4 to 60 and 14.4 1/4, standard 230bhp boot full of tools and well fried clutch, was a good laugh though.

you doing GTI fest at the pod on the 11th?

Dont do stuff like that that often i mean i put it together myself lol..

I even let a total novice s2 driver have a go. ( that was the bunny hop start.)
He had never had a go at anything like that before. He loved it lol..

Anyway bloke from work just found this another kill..

Considering how hot it was i dont think that was to bad.

Looks like you did pretty well down there. Fingers crossed I will be done doing my house up next year so I can get out to a few more meets. Le Mans was good though.

It was better than I expected actually, used about £140 over 550 miles so very economical for an S2. Gonna post some photos on lemans thread too.

Was supposed to go but hadn't finished swapping the turbo hotside over by sat so figured to wait until gti fest for a proper track as a couple of phone calls on sat from some of the big power cars confirmed they where struggling on the rubbish surface with no grip.

As for the Rocco, broken propshaft took him out, which makes a change from the oil and water he normally spills down the track at the pod. White mk1 suffered missfires which we discovered on Monday to be the new sparkleads that had been made up for his car didn't sit all the way home in coilpack. The Corrado stripped 4th gear and bent his intake valves as it bounced of the limiter. Green MK2 was running a petrol box with no LSD as a temporary solution to having nuked his second box instead of his usual diesel box with LSD, resulting in zero traction.

So out the top 4 cars on sunday 1 drove home

I thought I saw a couple of flashes behind my while my car was in the camping area. It's nice to be noticed.
I was abandoned by the Audi SRS campers so I was on my own really <sniff>

I saw at least 2 Coupes on the strip (one from the inside ).

I managed to dispatch P.Diddy's V8 barge (which is no great boast really when you know the state of the gearbox) but I had a boost leak so being over 0.5bar down, I had so terrible times - best was a 5.3sec to 60 and a 13.8sec 1/4 mile

The boost leak appeared on the way to the strip - about the same time my undertray fell off at 145MPH We pulled over and I asked my passenger where the tray was, he opened the passenger door and said "here!" pointing a few feet away from the passenger side sill It had obviously come unhooked at the front, folded underneath itself due to the slight breeze and then come out behing the NSF wheel.

Stupidly, I put it in the boot and so covered the boot in PS fluid from the recent PS pump leak

That said, Stu & Stef's Cornish clotted cream scones were delicious so the day wasn't a total disaster

                            Cheers n
