what makes you think that an rs2 is easy to work on??

i would say the biggest problem with the V6 is the fact that you need to take the engine out even for little things...

but otherwise, yes much better perfomance from the I5.

My heart is still with the I5 I'm afraid... I'll take it's old skool 5-pot burble over a V6. You'll never see me trade my RS2 in for an RS4!

That said, I would love to have one of each - still my dream one day

Because I have worked on RS2's.
And no, you don't need to take the engine out for little things, this is wrong.

But I will give you a perfect example. Try changing the spark plugs on the 2.2T, and then try doing the same on the 2.7 BiT.
Let me know how you get on

Trust me, this thing is horrible to work on.
On a RS2 you can even change the turbo on the drive. Never mind how easy it is to change coils, plugs, injectors, etc...

Hell, even taking off the damn oil filter on the 2.7 was harder!

My mechanic told me however that dropping the RS4's engine is quite easy and the best way to do it. He all drops it (engine+box) onto a big table in a few hours.

thats how they do it in porsches, but in those its even quicker. I think audi should have followed porsche's way of mounting.

Yeah, but that is required for only a few things.
The biggest problem is how the intake is arranged, and that you have to take all of that off just to get to the rocker covers...

So troubleshooting coils, spark plugs and injectors is a right PITA.

I've done a few of them on LPG and they can be a pita to work on, I don't find the I5's that bad at all, especially compared to some of the other engines I've had to work on.

New car looks stunning, I really would love a RS4, just too much to run one sadly.

                        Nice RS4 looking Dmitri.
It needs lowering before next summer though IMHO.
It's sad to see the UrS6 go. But I'm looking forward to the ME7 development.

                            Not in this climate!

We actually have this thing called snow! Lots of it
I am actually worried that it is way too low for winter...
