iaaiiks! what a big turbo in that one!!!... where is the air filter? how many hps has that one?
saw some gauge boost metter's on the fotos.
is here anyone with a gauge boost metter? I instaled on my rs2 (-0.5bar to 2.5). is it normal in engine idle the metter measure -0.5 bar? same appens when lift the foot from acceleration, sometimes goes down below -0.5 off scale to.
That RS2 is running 1.8bar from 4000 to 7300rpm.
The filter is below the second "turn" of the hose. It makes a double "S".
nice
1.8bar?!... whoow... the max I already saw on my rs2 was 1.6 (i have the VDO instaled 2 days ago only). I had my rs2 from second hand, unfortunently dont know the his history, if is tweaked or original... I belive original.
maybe is there any filter so wont let go the "suction" below -0.5bar? my VDO doesnt mark/have any scale below -0.5bar and usualy in day to day trafic lifting the foot from accelerator it goes way after -0.5bar... I am afraid to damage the vdo gauge.
can the VDO gauge handle -0,9bar without "braking"? the scale says only -0,5bar.

-0.5 is normal idle pressure, even -0.9 is possible with healthy engine when "braking" with the engine.
nice to hear that.
I think I saw it some times the VDO with the pointer almos verticaly down (maybe -0,8 or -0.9)... nice to ear its about healthy engine.
I remember that this was the first time I instaled a boost gauge without making myself a "pickup-point" on air intake system. I used on rs2 the tube that goes to the ECU. When I instaled boost gauges on other engines I got the pressure before the trothle body (with a and made "pickup-point"); thats why I never get so low and negative values... now its all clear to me, since the engine continues to suck air and the trothle is close big sucktion will be generated... yep, didnt think about it.
