I've just got the RS2 back from the garage. I've been without it for a couple of weeks waiting for the rear brakes to be fixed so I haven't had a chance to post any pic's until now.

Yep. After 2 weeks sitting in either a workshop or yard it was absolutely filthy.

I've not driven it much to be honest. I've only done 200 miles since I picked it up 3 weeks ago & I didn't push it with the brakes making that "binding" noise.

It does feel a different animal though. Not much happens below 3500rpm but then it feels really strong all the way. The homefried S2 felt quicker at lower revs as boost was peaking by around 3000rpm. I'll give it a good blast on the way to Castle Combe on Saturday

I wish my rs2 is ready for saturday, it has been sitting at qst for nearly 4 weeks and they still cant find the problem, it is a big mistery........ I only washed engine with gentle spray of water and thats it it lost 150bhp will not boost over 0.4 bar .
We spent 3 weekends looking for fults and that before i took it to qst, replaced sparks, wgfv, dv,new fuel filter, checked all electrical conections etc.....
well lets hope that we dont have to travel to castle combe in

Peter, get it chipped m8. The RS2 turbo can provide lots of low down grunt. Speak to Mihnea at Combe

If your interested in getting it done on the sun, probably monday after coombe drop me a PM since Mihnea is coming back to mine before I drop him off to airport on Mon evening so may be able to fit you in then?

OMG. Rover 100 ? Let's hope not....

I've heard similar horror stories resulting from steam cleaning engine bays. Do you have a misfire ? I went to look at 3 RS2's before I bought this one & one of them had a misfire where the engine had been steam cleaned. Have you tried coil packs ? My engine needs cleaning but I'm staying well clear of steam cleaners/pressure washers.

I didn't bother as I have to get some new tyres fitted tomorrow.

I've already spoken to Mihnea I think I may have to leave it until next time though.....I need to get those tyres first.
