So therefore since Nick Johnson bought the car from pw-rs2 and therefore had the title to the vehicle in his posession, the previous owner was NOT pw-rs2, it was Nick Johnson. Thanks for clearing that up.

No because Nick Johnson is a dealer the car would never have been registered to him. Dealers only fill in the yellow part of the V5 documents to save adding another owner to the car. The previous owner is pw-rs2.

Okay. Different system than in North America (but that varies from State to State in the US and Province to Province in Canada). Typically the dealers have the title = they own the car.

Still haven't got an answer to my original question which was where Nick Johnson got his info re: 3 Pearl RS2s in the world. A real reference not a link to an internet advert would help.

We think there is only one pearl RS2 in the US. I've PM'd Tom S. and asked whether he has any data base info on the three pearl unicorns.

And a follow-up to the link with the RS Blue RS2 imported into Canada, MickO sold it on to a fellow, Dave T. in Calgary, Alberta, who is now an S2 forum member and has posted some beautiful photos of the car. I sat in the car when MickO was swanning it about looking for sales (he wasn't the enthusiast he claimed to be). Nice but not perfect. Dave T. is correcting those minor issues.

There is one volcano black RS2 in our local Vancouver BC UrS club. LHD bought out of Britain.

I spoke with the previous owner last night - we are keeping in touch over the car due to it's rarity, his previous love of the vehicle, respect and knowledge of it's past and eagerness to learn of it's future. All I can say is that he works for VAG and checked the car out prior to his purchase - during a telephone call to Germany he was given the RS2 (colour) build list. This was the only UK Specification Pearl White made.
I might spend time contacting Audi to obtain a printed list.

Carl: Getting a copy of the RS2 build list with colours would be a great thing for the documentation of the history of the RS2, not just the pearl cars. Please do try and, if you are successful, I trust that you will be able to share the info.

Toms at Le Mans atm...i do seem to recall from the back of my memory bank that there was a white (not sure if it was a pearly queen) RS2 imported into Japan quite a few years ago...will check my RS2 files when i get a chance and report back

Its not pearl but Porsche Grand Prix white apparently...this is from the RS246 register back in 2005...

Yes that car is Grand Prix white. This Is a Porsche colour not an Audi colour.
There is also a Pearl White car in Japan which is known to the owner of the Grand Prix white car.
If you ordered a non standard Audi colour (eg.pearl White) you paid about £1200-£1500 extra as the body was prepared on the Audi prodution line before being sent to Porsche to be assembled as was all the standard RS2's. If you wanted a non Audi colour ( eg. Grand Prix White), Porsche would take an already painted shell, strip it then repaint it the colour you wanted. This could cost upto £5000 depending what colour you chose. Not many were painted this way as you would expect. There are some yellow & white lhd cars known.

Most of this is correct.

Couple of small points.
1. There never was an option on the UK dealer order system or order notes (I have all the originals) for ordering a special non Audi or any other colour. It is a mystery as to how the dealer principal at Perth Audi ( I think) got this car built in Pearl White. Clearly he did but it was never available as a UK customer option.
2. Polar Silver is a Porsche not Audi colour.
